Stanley Market & Murray House

Hong Kong Island

Today was our last day on Hong Kong Island, and what a better way to end it then shopping?! We bought a ton of souvenirs[1] such as traditional Chinese clothing garments[1.1]and many small ornaments[1.2]. We spent the whole day at Stanley Market which is all open air so it didn't even feel like shopping-no air conditioning and stuff like malls back home. We have done a fair amount of shopping this trip but today was much more successful because everything was so inexpensive! We even got a little taste of home because they just recently opened a Hagan-Dasz shop! Onion_056.gif

We went to "Chinese Restaurant(酒樓)" to have our dinner!!

We had to finish our night off with a nice dinner of course so we decided to go to the famous Murray House where there were tons of places to eat. The Murray House[1]has the Hong Kong Maritime Museum in it so we of course looked around there for quite some time. It has over 500 exhibits[1.1]so we unfortunately didn't get to see everything, but it was still pretty interesting to see so much of Hong Kong's seafaring history. Onion_017_.gif
