Sheung Wan - Central - Causeway Bay

25/12 - Merry Christmas!!!!

sunny

Merry Christmas!!! I’m Judy, today we went shopping at Sheung Wan and Causeway Bay[1]. Yesterday when we were going to Avenue of Stars, Vanessa saw the ferry and said she wanted to try it. So today we took the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui, and then took the ferry to Sheung Wan.

I forgot to mention, there were many exits and entrances for one station of the MTR, that’s why people could take the MTR from anywhere easily!!! Onion_016.gif

We had spent almost all our money on the Octopus Card that we saved on the first day. Therefore we had to put more money on it.

We also bought some drinks at Seven-Eleven which was located inside the MTR station! Of course, we paid with our Octopus Card too!!

When we were at Tsim Sha Tsui, we took the Star Ferry to Central which was on Hong Kong Island. We could use the Octopus Card for taking the Star Ferry!! Wonderful!!!

We took the bus to Sheung Wan after we arrived at Central. There was one thing I really wanted to mention, there were TVs on both the lower and upper decks of the bus, it’s a double-decker bus!!!! Onion_056.gif

When we were at Sheung Wan, we went to Upper Lascar Row and Lower Lascar Row. Almost all the shops here sold antiques and second-hand stuff. Some of them were very valuable.

We had our lunch at Kwan Lok Restaurant which was located at Gage Street. It’s a Hong Kong traditional restaurant. This kind of restaurant is pronounced as “cha chaan teng(茶餐廳)”. This restaurant was different from the one we went yesterday, they did not serve “dim sum,” we could only have coffee; tea; bread; rice and noodles here!! Onion_086.gif

After we finished our lunch, we went shopping at Li Yuen St E and Li Yuen St W which were in Central. These streets were famous for selling women’s stuff. They had another name called “Women’s Street”.

We went to a big Japanese style mall – Sogo!!!

We did shop around at Sogo, but it was more for the office people. So we decided to go to the Island Beverly Center which was near Sogo! This mall was more for our style!!

Then we went to the World Trade Centre!!

Because of Christmas, most of the malls would be open until 3:00am or 24 hours for this Christmas week[1.2]. We shopped around at Causeway Bay until 2:00am, and then took the MTR back to the hotel!!!

We were so tired today too.......

By the way, this is Emily’s writing too!!!! hahahahahaha!!!!! Onion_035.gif
